Panasonic Launches Updated Pro Camcorder

Panasonic has revealed the AG-AF105A pro camcorder, the updated version of the AG-AF105. It comes with Full HD Progressive Recording and 10 Bit 4:2:2 quality via the camera's live output function and record onto  external devices, such as P2 Recorder which also syncs Rec Start/Stop with the AG-AF100A series trigger.

It can take a wide range of lenses including the Micro Four Thirds compatible DSLR lenses and Cinema lenses with a mount adapter.

Here's a few more specs with lots of numbers; Alongside the PH mode-21Mbps, there's a new PS mode-25Mbps, full-HD progressive (1080/60p, 1080/50p) images. It also features two-channel XLR audio input terminals. 16 bit LPCM 2-channel audio recording and the expand focus assist function, which enlarges the center of the displayed image, and 2.39:1 (cinema scope size) safety zone marker.

It's starting its sales journey in Japan on November 15th at an open price. (You have to negotiate) No word yet on the rest of the world.

Mitashi's First Android Tablet, Play BE100

Indian company Mitashi, maker of video games, TV's and DVD, MP3/MP4 players and so on, has dipped its toe in the tablet market with the Play BE100.

It's billed as a 'first of its kind Business Entertainment Tablet' with a 7 inch display, Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, 1GHZ processor, 512MB RAM and has the option of a KB 100 Keyboard, aiming it at the business market.

The entertainment side of things is covered with video recording, built-in MIC recording with support for all the main audio/video/text file formats. It also has full USB input.

You'll get around 4 hours of browsing the web on a single charge which doesn't seem much, and for an Android tablet it doesn't seem to support ODT files, but supports Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It also doesn't seem to support Ext 4, but only FAT, FAT32 and NTFS.

It will be selling for 6790 Indian Rupees with the optional keyboard at 1299 Rupees.

Kobian has announced the Diwali Festive scheme on their Mercury range of tablets. Here's how it works: If you buy a Mercury tablet between 1st to 25th November, you'll get a gift of a 4GB Micro SD card and be in with a chance to win prizes like a LCD TV.

The company's latest tablets are the Mercury MercurymagiQ, running Android 4.0.3, with a ARMv7 processor, 4GB Internal Storage, 5 inch display (a thin line between tablet and smartphone) 512 MB of RAM and a 0.3 Mega Pixel Front Camera with a 12 Mega Pixel Camera in the rear. Selling for around 12,700 Rupees.

The cheaper Mercury mTab7, priced around 9,499 rupees, has a bigger 7 inch screen with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor 512MB DDRM, 4GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports storage up to 32GB. Connectivity-wise the device supports 3G via dongle, HDMI, USB, and Wi-Fi.
    
Or if you want one with an even bigger screen, there's the Mercury mTabRio with a 9.7-inch screen, running Android 4.0.4, same processor as the MercurymagiQ, but with 8GB internal storage.

You can also claim your free 4GB MICRO SD Card after the closing date if you show the original Invoice.
