How To Upgrade Your Arch Linux To KDE 4.9.5 Posted: 03 Jan 2013 07:44 AM PST The KDE team has announced the update to KDE SC -- 4.9.5 is last release in KDE 4.9 release branch. If you are an Arch user, there is good news for you as the packages for KDE 4.9.5 are available in Arch Linux testing repository. To install KDE 4.9.5 you need to enable testing repository in /etc/pacman.conf. If it's already enabled just updating system will upgrade to KDE 4.9.5. |
KDE SC 4.10 Delayed, Release Candidate 3 Added Posted: 03 Jan 2013 04:17 AM PST Albert Astals Cid has announced major changes in KDE release schedule on kde-cvs-announce mailing list. After the release of KDE 4.9.5 no releases for KDE 4.9.5 are planned and hence branch for KDE 4.9 is closed. To accommodate some last minute changes the KDE developer team has decided to create RC3 in KDE SC 4.10. This moves KDE SC 4.10 final release two weeks further. |
